Hand forged wire with "vines" of silver symbolize the intertwining bond of a mother and her child.

"Crazy Lace" Pendant
A beautiful crazy lace agate is set into a simple sterling silver bezel with a matte finish and embellished with Madeira citrine and smoky topaz.

Sara Lalik's Artist Statement:
"I find grace in the organic forms around us. But the metal itself, is my main inspiration. I start with a notion of an idea and let the metal guide me to its end result."

CandleVases grace a table as a tabletop sculpture, a vase or a candleholder- becoming 3 pieces in one! They are handbuilt of multiple parts created by Carol and assemble individually- thus each is one-of-a-kind and takes a full day to complete. Carol uses multiple underglazes, blending colors to obtain a rich depth of hue, and then finishes them with a pearly white glaze.

Carol Barclay Artist Statement:

"When I create my work, I am hoping to make a piece that will be cherished for generations...passed from parent to child to grandchild. I have an award winning garden that gives me much delight, and the forms and colors of the plants are most influential in the shape and decoration of the pottery that I make."

After a year sabbatical Joyce Fritz has returned to making her polymer clay insect jewelry and her pieces are better than ever.

Joyce Fritz Artist Statement:
"I've always been interested in the natural world; particularly in how the smallest elements relate to the big picture. Insects are a perfect example of that. Their endless variety of color, form and pattern inspire me. Plus, there are millions of species of insects on the planet, so I will never run out of inspiration.
The design process is an eternal discovery. I enjoy that my work makes people laugh and maybe even think!
I grew up in the photography business, earned a BA in Art, with an emphasis on ceramics."

Their sole purpose is to provide a nurturing work environment for women who come from backgrounds of chronic unemployment, poverty or displacement. Healthy Sisters' Soup & Bean Works is one of only three similar programs in the entire nation. It's an innovative work experience program where women earn a steady paycheck, develop self-confidence and learn job skills needed to enter or re-enter the workforce.
